bootcamp, the beastly bastard

Howdy Toasters With days to go appears that the predictable pattern of the winter unwells has kicked in already…  (with it not even officially winter yet do i need to call it the autumn ails?) Feeling like i’ve done everything (well almost everything) right in preparation to not get sick you could say i’m a little Farkuckt … my morning routine of vitamins, pills, powders and potions to get me going and (try) and keep me healthy looks like a some kind of space age breakfast that really should have done the trick…..but no. It could be said that running … Continue reading bootcamp, the beastly bastard

642: 2 boxers or briefs

Howdy Toasters, 642 things to write about…. adventure #2 To buldge or not to buldge.. that is the question It’s a hard choice us boys have to face when it comes what we pack our fun loving fellas in. You have to be nice to them as you know.. right position, right temperature, right (or left) side, right colour, right style… and most importantly the right balance between looking like you’re packing a chunky lunchbox and obscenely outlining everything for all to see. Traditionally there’s the boxers or briefs debate. Should we be bundled in comfortable support with just that right amount … Continue reading 642: 2 boxers or briefs

I’ve often wondered how and why my interests developed as they did. I grew up on a small farm in Iowa in the 50s, and experienced all that went with that. Mainly movies, probably because films are so immediate. I was an only child, and with no kids in… Continue reading

Oh yes, firsts… as we get older they tend to happen less … Continue reading Serenading in your sleep

if rhino’s were unicorns

Howdy Toasters, I stumbled across this picture in the wonderful world   of facebook recently (do you follow me?) thanks to the amazing Jackie Beat . At first i thought it was a super cute image that belonged on a shirt from threadless, snorg or cafe press…. then i took a moment and breathe to reflect. Once i did i have to say my opinion changed and, like Jackie, i’m saddened. Sure i could think ” geez toast, see the irony, have a laugh” but, as cute as it is, i just can’t. It’s sort of a reflection on our (confused) … Continue reading if rhino’s were unicorns

I made my challenge public to anyone who would listen and even did some brainstorming with others about possible jump locations. After a clearing up of the weather that conveniently coincided with a much needed haircut in mid-March, I was ready to begin my project. I’ve done two jump photographs prior to this series: one at Formosa Boulevard Station in Kaohsiung and one in front of some plum blossoms in Fengguidou. I also… Continue reading
